Mitochondrial metabolism in cellular homeostasis and disease
About us
Our research group at the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) explores the dynamic coordination between mitochondria and metabolism to reveal how metabolic pathways regulate mtDNA homeostasis and mitochondrial function. The postdoctoral project will investigate how mitochondrial metabolism impacts cellular homeostasis and mitochondrial-related diseases. We combine cell biology, advanced imaging, proteomics, metabolomics, and genetic approaches across yeast, mammalian cells and mouse models. The lab is located in a highly collaborative environment within the Göttingen Research Campus, which hosts several internationally leading institutes such as the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, providing a stimulating collaborative environment. For recent examples of our work, see PMID: 29519802; 40811546.
