The Macé Lab investigates how brain-wide networks interact to produce specific behaviors. We use functional ultrasound imaging, a technique we developed to track neural activity throughout the mouse brain. We combine this technique with targeted genetic circuit manipulation and electrophysiological measurements.

Your tasks

Your tasks

As a technical assistant or lab technician, you will be part of the research team and will support a junior research group in preparing and conducting experiments.

The position includes the following responsibilities, among others:

  • Orientation and support for new students
  • Monitoring of laboratory mice
  • Assistance with experimental design and implementation
  • Laboratory operations (experiment preparation, ordering supplies, documentation)

Your qualifications

Your qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as a medical technical assistant (MTA, BTA, PTA) or laboratory technician, or a comparable qualification
  • Strong technical understanding and a willingness to learn new work techniques
  • Fluent written and spoken German
  • English language skills are required
  • An independent, meticulous, and reliable work ethic
  • A high degree of responsibility, commitment, and teamwork
